Abstract
A dig-and-modify drill rig leverages the excavator's built-in breaker hydraulic circuit—without compromising the machine's original functionality—by connecting a hydraulic conversion device and removing the bucket, thereby transforming the excavator into a versatile hydraulic rock-drilling or down-the-hole drilling unit, enabling the machine to serve multiple purposes.
Excavators and drilling rigs can be custom-designed and modified according to your requirements. They are suitable for various drilling projects, including those in mines, quarries, road and bridge construction, tunnels, and more.
Advantages of excavator-modified drilling rigs:
1. Highly versatile: Can be easily installed on hydraulic excavators of any brand.
3. High Return on Investment: Achieves rapid work efficiency with low fuel consumption, helping to save on labor and energy costs—for instance, the drilling speed for a 90mm hole can reach up to 1.2 meters per minute.
4. Excellent Value for Money: Rock-drilling excavator = drill rig + excavator—comparable to imported full-hydraulic drilling rigs.
5. High Safety: Low risk of accidents, environmentally friendly operations.
6. Computer Precision Control: Intelligent control, simple operation.
1) Before starting the hydraulic rock drill, check whether the accumulator's inflation pressure is normal; verify that the flushing water pressure and lubrication air pressure are correct; ensure there is sufficient lubricating oil in the lubricator and that the oil supply rate is appropriate; also, confirm the rotation direction of the oil pump motor.
2) When drilling rock, position the thruster into the drilling location so that the front end rests firmly against the rock. Carefully maneuver the drill to move forward, ensuring the drill bit makes contact with the rock. To start the hole, gently advance the drill at first; once the drill rod is securely seated in the rock, gradually increase the pressure until it reaches the fully open position.
3) If the rock drill cannot start drilling smoothly, first operate the drill to move backward, then advance it forward again to restart the drilling process.
